A man is pushed onto the subway tracks
After engaging in verbal attacks.
This pain should have never occurred.
But, alas the controversial moral pot has been stirred.
A photographer captures the entire event.
His help was not lent.
Instead, he flashes his camera to prevent fatal pain.
But nothing can stop the subway train.
Should the photographer had run to the fallen man's aid?
Or, does he have a duty to document stories to get paid?
Was he even close enough?
These split second decisions are tough.
And what of the hundreds whom only watched?
Could not one of them rescued this life that was botched?
Surely each person has a moral duty to protect.
Neglect allowed this poor life to be wrecked.
