Atoms are tiny building blocks.
They are in peacocks, rocks, and clocks.
To see them, a special microscope is needed.
Combined atoms look like sticks that are beaded.
You smell and taste atoms...feel and see atoms...and hear atoms when they collide.
Elements are atoms and the periodic table of elements is used as a guide.
Atoms were once thought to be indivisible.
Yet, quarks and leptons are now visible.
Atoms include protons, neutrons, and electrons.
If the protons and electrons are unequal, then atoms become ions.
Around the proton-neutron nucleus, electrons fly.
Think about that the next time you eat pie!
